Welcome to my big list of The Best Business Books For Women Entrepreneurs! I’ve worked very hard compiling this list to be epic. These books are great to give you the skills, mindset, and motivation to get your business growing. I’ve been truly been changed by these books and I know you will be too.
I’m not just going to give you a list of some good business books for female entrepreneurs (guys yes, most of these are good for you too). Nope, I’m going to give them to you in a specific order and explain why I feel this is a good order to experience them in. Now based on where you are in life, motivation, your business, etc. You may feel you can skip around to what is most relevant to where you are right now. That works too.
If You Are Just A Wannabe Female Entrepreneur or Starting Out:
If you don’t have a business yet, but you want to someday. You are in the beginning stages and need some motivation and/ need to work on believing you can succeed. If you have trouble with self-sobatoging yourself. If you are an aspiring female entrepreneur, then these are some good books to start your journey.
Why I like this book: It tells the story of how using dedication and persistence a misfit girl was able to create a fashion empire with little outside help. So never again will you be able to make lame excuses because of your financial situation, family situation, living situation, or lack of education. Nope, you can’t use those excuses anymore. If she can do it, yes you can do it. You have to work for it, but you can do it.
This is another good place to start. It works on cultivating the right mindset and habits for success. Talent and work ethic is important, but you also need to work on your mind. If you don’t believe you can do it, you will never make it.
Mmmm some delicious Tim Ferriss goodness. He really makes you want the dream lifestyle. If you always wanted to afford to travel, live in other places, and have freedom in your business you’ll need to read his book too. Great for online based businesses that you can literally do from anywhere. If you are hell bent on a brick and mortar business, this might not work for you and you can skip it.
This one is a FREE ebook!. (Click the link for a safe place to download it instantly!) This is a CLASSIC book by Napoleon Hill. A total game changer. It’s extremely old and you’ll read some pretty archaic descriptions and phrases, but if you can look past that for the meat of this book, you will benefit. Ignore the religious undertones, slightly racist references, etc. This book will work on your mind. The very place success must begin. If you are ready for it, it will change your thinking. The first step to success is getting your mind ready. This book will help you get there. It’s a very important step you simply cannot skip.
What Kind of Business? Narrowing in on your niche market:
This is a good as gold book. Here you’ll learn by many many examples how to niche yourself. You’ll see how being too broad because you don’t want to limit yourself will actually make your business the right fit for no one. A great lesson and great examples. Do you need the book? Well if you already believe in finding your niche and it’s super specific you might be able to skip it, but at least find a book store and browse through it.
The Business Books For Women Entrepreneurs That Focus On Online Business:
Want to work your online business? Want to advertise online? Want a website? (I can’t think of any business that shouldn’t have all those things)
This is a great foundation to business book. It’s different than most business books and give you real insight.
A great starting point for online marketing.
Great intro to blogging book. I believe everyone business NEEDS a good blog and this is the starter book to build a blog roadmap.
OK calling all socially awkward gals! This one is for you. If you are uncomfortable introducing yourself, networking, making friends and connections…YOU NEED THIS BOOK! If you can’t sell yourself please don’t get into business. You need to cultivate confidence, happiness, positivity, trust, etc. Just as an example… Doctors with poor bedside manner are sued a 100 times more than those that have a good bedside manner (I may have fudged those numbers, but it was much higher). People skills are really that important in business. Just being great at something won’t get you too far if you are not able to create real relationships. You never know who you’ll need and who can spread influence. Treat everyone well and with your best foot forward. Yelp reviews and online rants can ruin a business. Learn social skills like your business depends on it! (It does)
A classic for a reason. This is a great book to bone up on business people skills. It has a cult following, so you should defiantly check it out.
